We have now completed all mandatory preparation for our 10 Dec 25 Atlantic Row. The boat has been cleaned and is ready to go (PSA).
Our GoFundMe page (https://www.gofundme.com/f/per-ardua-21-atlantic-row-2025) is growing and we are starting to increase our social media efforts. Obviously RBL is one of our top choices of charity to raise funds for.
Inspired by one of our supporters, Bruce Dickinson from Iron Maiden, we are planning on having rowing surges every 6 hours. To motivate ourselves we intend to use music to encourage our 15 minute surge. Linked to this we are keen to conduct 2-minute interviews with our supporters who have inspired us. Whilst our social media feeds aren’t large we are hoping that people we interview might re-post on their feeds.
I will be pressing Padré Hugh to assist and wondered if anyone from RBL might be willing to participate? You all inspire me and I wandered if you might agree to an interview and to possibly suggest three songs which might motivate you if you were to cross the Atlantic.
As a team whilst we aim to compete seriously, we also have quite a different approach to our sister teams. We aim to be the smartest and best equipped team to finish (as you would expect from a member of our RBL Branch). Unusually we have a solar shower and washing machine. It might be fun to also conduct an ‘at sea’ interview if you anyone might be interested?
From your extensive networks if you know anyone else who might be crazy enough to support us any ideas would be appreciated.
