Dedication of new Standard

On Saturday 15 August 2026 at 15.00, Branch 3473 of The Royal British Legion Provence-Monaco held a brief service, Dedicating their new Standard, in the Field. The furled standard was given to Chaplain Jeremy Auld (Holy Trinity Church, Nice).

“GRANT, O merciful God, that with malice towards none, with charity to all, with firmness in the right as Thou givest us to see the right, we may strive  to finish the ask which Thou has appointed us, to bind up the nation’s wounds; to care for him who shall have borne the battle, and for the widow and the orphan; to do all that may achieve and cherish a just and lasting peace among ourselves and with all nations; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.”

The New Standard was then passed back to the Standard Bearer, Commander Simon Jackson RN (Rtd) and shall be paraded for the first time at the Annual Commemoration of the Libération d’Antibes in 1944, at 18.00 on Monday 24 August.
